RETIREMENT
Scott Valley, a beautiful place to retire in your dream home.
( View from my house - July 2000 )
I moved to Scott Valley a couple of years ago. I lived in LA after I retired but found that I wanted to get away from all the problems of living in a big city. Scott Valley is the perfect retirement community, it's like finding heaven on earth. You don't need to spend much to have your dream home and live here.
The first time I drove over Forest Mountain Summit and saw the beautiful Scott Valley below me, I knew that it was one of the prettiest places I had ever seen. I have meet many new friends here and have found that they are as nice and friendly as this valley is pretty. Some of them moved here recently, others are the descendants of old pioneer families that settled Scott Valley in the 1800's.
There is every kind of club and organization that you could ask for. You can get as involved as you like in what ever interests you. Most everything you need is available from the local businesses in Etna and Fort Jones. The big city "stuff" is less than a hour away in Yreka or Medford, or a "click" away on the internet.
